Size & Versatility
Both the 2020 Lincoln Aviator and the 2019 Navigator have seating for up to seven. If you are looking for maximum space, the Lincoln Navigator has the edge with 43.9 inches of front legroom and 42.6 inches of back legroom. The 2020 Aviator only has 43 inches in front and 40.1 in the back. The Navigator has 20.9 cubic feet of cargo volume while the Aviator only has 18.3 cubic feet, so if you are looking to pack in more gear, luggage, and passengers, the Navigator has more versatility, as well as a maximum towing capacity of 8,600 pounds!
Powertrain and Engines
When it comes to powertrains and engine options, you'll be the decider of what kind of power you'll need and what kind of driving style you'll want your Lincoln to cater to. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is equipped with a 10-Speed Automatic transmission and AWD drivetrain. You'll get 17 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The 2019 Lincoln Navigator also comes with a 10-Speed Automatic transmission but comes with a 4X4 drivetrain. The Navigator gets 16 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway, so while you might experience a few miles less of fuel efficiency, you'll have a more even distribution of power.
The 2019 Lincoln Navigator comes with a Twin-Turbocharged engine that can produce up to 450 horsepower and 510 pound to feet of torque, helping it haul all your gear with ease. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator offers a standard Twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine that pumps out 300 horsepower and 415 pound to feet of torque.
On both models you'll be able to tailor your driving experience to just how you like thanks to Lincoln Drive Modes. In the Lincoln Navigator, you can choose from Slippery, Excite, Conserve, Deep Conditions, Normal and Slow Climb. The 2020 Lincoln Aviator offers even more versatility, giving you the option to choose from the following listed above and two additional drive modes: Pure EV for an all-electric drive and Preserve EV to save stored energy for later use.
